We maintain a close working relationship with Queensland Health and local Public Health Units and continue to follow advice from federal and state-based health authorities and our peak bodies.Ozcare has in place extensive outbreak management policies and procedures to manage any suspected form of outbreak in our aged care facilities, hospital and centres. Additionally, our staff are trained, and adhere to, several policies and procedures for infection control and environment management.In addition, we have: Implemented outbreak cleaning protocols throughout Ozcare Staff have been re-trained in infection control procedures Enforced a restricted visitor policy and restricted visiting hours at our aged care facilities Introduced mandatory temperature checks & screening questionnaires to all visitors to our aged care facilities, hospital and day respite centres Introduced mandatory Influenza and COVID-19 vaccination for all Ozcare employees and volunteers in client facing roles Vigilant monitoring of clients by all staff members for any early flu like symptoms and immediate reporting of these to clinical management, senior management and GPs Additional internal reporting protocols for unwell clients, staff and volunteersShort-Term and Long-Term Objectives The company's short-term objectives are to: Provide quality health and human services to clients at all times irrespective of religion, sex, race and national origin; Provide these services to the community and in particular to the aged, frail, disabled and disadvantaged; and Be recognised as a leader in the provision of these services.
