We are here to help

What is Support at Home?
The Australian Government is introducing the Support at Home program to simplify and enhance the delivery of home care services.
The new program will replace Home Care Packages and the Short-Term Restorative Care Programme from 1 July, 2025.
Under Support at Home there will be improved access to services, products, equipment and home modifications to help older Australians to remain healthy, active and socially connected to their community.
What do the changes aim to do?
- Easier and faster access: Reducing wait times for care services and simplifying how you access them.
- Additional funding tiers and pathways: More options for funding things like home modifications to improve your independence and comfort.
- Enhanced personalisation: Care plans that are better tailored to fit your unique health needs and lifestyle preferences.
What does this mean for you?

If you are currently on a Home Care Package, you will keep your current level of funding and unspent funds. You won’t pay any more and you might pay even less. You will be able to access funding up front for specific goals like assistive technology and home modifications. Your Care Manager can explain the new features of Support at Home and how they affect you.
If you don’t currently receive aged care services, but think you may need more support, you don’t need to wait. We can help you navigate the system now, just give us a call on 1800 692 273.
More information is coming soon

We are currently developing a range of resources to keep you better informed about the transition. Our Support at Home FAQs and glossary will be online soon.
