Other ways to access support

The Australian Government subsidises a range of community care services, in addition to Support at Home, through various funding programs.

We can help guide you through these programs and what they entail, allowing you to decide whether they may be suitable for you. Contact us today on 1800 692 273 to discuss your options and understand which program might be the best fit for you and your needs.

Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP)

If you’re having some trouble with everyday tasks and feel that a bit of support could improve your health and wellbeing, the CHSP can provide access to basic services to help keep you active, social, independent and enjoying all the things you like doing.

The CHSP is open to people who:

  • Are 65 years or older
  • Are 50 years or older and identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander
  • Are 50 years or older and are on a low income or homeless, or at risk of being homeless
  • Are 45 years or older and identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and are on a low income or homeless, or at risk of being homeless

We can guide you through the process of applying for an assessment to enter the CHSP via My Aged Care. The CHSP provides access to a broad range of services, which can be viewed here (please note you must be approved for the services to utilise them).

If your needs increase beyond basic support, we can help you be reassessed at any time to ensure you receive the support you need.

For general information on the CHSP, visit My Aged Care. To find out if you’re eligible and understand which programme may be the best fit for you, give us a call on 1800 692 273 today.  View our pricing schedule here.

Under CHSP, you can also request a referral for our Ozcare Dementia and Advisory and Support Service.

Privately Funded Home Care

We’re always here to help.

We offer all of our services on a fee-for-service model.

No assessments are required to access privately funded care, and there are no wait times. You can choose the services you want and how often you want to receive them.

This can be a good option if:

  • You’re waiting for an assessment
  • You’re waiting for services to start
  • Choose not to be assessed
  • You’re not eligible for funded services.

We can even supplement your government-supported services with privately funded care.

Whatever your situation, we can support you with the services you want.

There are no eligibility requirements for private care, and costs depend on the services you choose. Please note that private services are not government subsidised. You can find the fee schedule here.

If you’d like more information on privately funded health care, please give us a call on 1800 692 273, and we can help you understand your options.
