Allied Health Services

If you’re experiencing difficulty keeping your balance or moving around your home, our allied health team can help you find the best ways to keep you safe and mobile.
This can include:
- Adding hand rails or making safety modifications to your home
- Attending group programs such as Find Your Feet to prevent falls and improve balance
- Referrals for the use of equipment and aids such as ramps, toilet aids, shower chairs and wheelie walkers
Our team of health professionals conduct assessments in your home and community to advise you about different products that can help you remain independent in your home.
We provide you with a referral and in some cases help you to access state government funding for subsided aids and equipment. Read more about the Queensland Government’s medical aids funding programs.
The aids and equipment we refer include:
- Mobility aids such as wheelchairs and wheelie walkers
- Daily living aids such as hoists and shower chairs
- Continence aids
If you need help with adjusting to changes in your life, or are having difficulties with illness, injury or relationships, our social workers can help you with education, advice and support.
