Welcoming Ayr and Home Hill Aged Care Facilities to Ozcare

We are pleased to announce that we have been selected as the new owner and operator of the Regis Ayr and Regis Home Hill aged care facilities in North Queensland. The transfer includes Residential Aged Care places across the two facilities, totalling 156 operational beds, and will take effect from 1 March 2026, subject to customary conditions

Today’s announcement from the Regis Healthcare board confirmed its decision to transfer ownership of the two aged care facilities to Ozcare. Regis Ayr and Regis Home Hill are well-established residential aged care facilities located in North Queensland, each with a strong reputation for providing high-quality care and supporting their local communities. Together, the facilities form an essential part of aged care services in the Burdekin region.

As part of Regis’ ongoing strategy to optimise its national portfolio and reinvest in high-demand, premium locations, the organisation sought a new long-term owner for the Ayr and Home Hill facilities. Ozcare was selected as the new owner due to our size, scale, person-centred care model, and long-standing reputation as a trusted Queensland not-for-profit aged care provider. Ozcare staff will be on site next Monday, meeting with staff, residents and families to ensure a smooth transition.

This acquisition strengthens our presence in North Queensland and enhances continuity of care alongside our existing services in the region. We are delighted to be in a position to continue supporting the residents, families, and staff of Ayr and Home Hill.
