The Australian Government is introducing the Support at Home program to simplify and enhance the delivery of home care services. This new initiative will integrate several programs, including the Home Care Packages (HCP), into one streamlined, more efficient home care system.
What do the changes aim to do?
- Easier and faster access: Reducing wait times for care services and simplifying how you access them.
- Additional funding tiers and pathways: Increase the level of support from $61,000 to $78,000 to provide higher levels of care. There are more options for funding things like home modifications to improve your independence and comfort.
- Enhanced personalisation: Care plans are better tailored to fit your unique health needs and lifestyle preferences.
