Ozcare is dedicated to ensuring we deliver a high level of service quality. It’s a key focus for our organisation for a range of reasons, not least of which is the fact we help the people in our community who need it most.
There are a lot of touchpoints for auditing our services to ensure that all of us at Ozcare are following the processes we agree to and put in place.
Not a week goes by where there is not an audit being conducted somewhere in Ozcare.
Between audits from the Australian Aged Care Quality Agency, Community Care Standards, Human Services Quality Framework, ISO certification, local councils and our own internal audits, some of our services can find themselves being evaluated up to 12 times a year.
While this might seem like a lot, we see it as continuous business improvement and the opportunity for us to improve our service quality which ultimately benefits our clients.
We have a dedicated risk and compliance department, with part of their job being to support our services to ensure that they are following standards and business rules.
We continuously work to improve our services and if we find something that’s been missed we figure out how we can fix it and prevent it from happening again which can sometimes mean adjusting our business processes.
It’s our attention to quality that has recently seen us achieve re-certification accreditation to International Standards Organisation (ISO 9001:2015). Our ISO results over the last 12+ years show a steady decline in the number of audit findings, which means we as an organisation have maturing systems.
We are proud of our commitment to quality here at Ozcare and see quality management as everyone’s responsibility to ensure we deliver the best care possible.
